Treatment of the Pregnant Mother in Preparation for Birth

Saturday, September 28th from 8:30am to 5:30pm


A systematic approach to the evaluation and treatment of women in their third trimester will be demonstrated. Participants will be provided the opportunity to practice on pregnant volunteers.

Learning Objectives

– Restrictions within the mother preventing optimal fetal positioning.

Topics reviewed will include the broad ligaments, pelvic floor, pelvic torsion and previous surgeries including VBAC (vaginal birth after a caesarean).

– Restrictions within the fetus preventing optimal positioning.

Topics reviewed will include placenta placement, OP (‘sunny side up’) and transverse repositioning, suggestions during breech presentations and the importance of LOA.

– The importance of the interplay between mother and baby for a successful vaginal birth.

Treatment of the Newborn

Sunday, September 29th from 8:30am to 5:30pm


Creating the therapeutic space for the treatment of a newborn up to four months of age. Participants will be provided the opportunity to tandem treat a newborn.

Learning Objectives

– Topics reviewed will include the birth spiral, posterior vs anterior chain development, common lesional patterns during birth, tongue and lip ties, and recommendations for parents of a newborn.

The cost of this workshop is $500 – a $100 down payment is required to secure a spot at registration, and payment in full is required before August 1, 2019.

Cancellation Policy

A full refund will be provided for participants that cancel before June 30th, 2019.

A $50 administration fee will be retained for participants that cancel between July 1stand 31st.

No refund will be provided for any participant that cancels after August 1, 2019 and their spot will be offered to the first person on the cancellation list.


Trickle Creek Lodge is located at the Kimberley Alpine Resort. The lodge is offering discounted rates for participants of the workshop. Please see the attached PDF.

There are several other accommodations available within Kimberley, and a “Peak to Platzl” shuttle bus runs regularly to the resort.

Additional Information

The Canadian Rockies International Airport is located 20 minutes outside of Kimberley. There are daily flights to and from Calgary or Vancouver with Westjet, Air Canada or Pacific Coastal. There is no bus service from the airport into Kimberley. A taxi usually runs around $50-60 into town and should be arranged ahead of time (L&K Taxi, 250.427.4442)
